European investors said that the piracy is still rampant in Indonesia and the country should handle it seriously, according to local media on Thursday.

"The breach of copyright has not been handled seriously here in Indonesia. This is a big challenge," the national leading website Detik.com quoted Vice Chariman European Business Chamber of Commerce Michael Olsson as saying.

"Intellectual copyright is still a big concern for European investors, including the regulative and protective conduct," he said.

The law of Indonesian for the copyright has been proportional, but the implementation is still a big problem, according to the website.

Indonesia has been watch-listed in the piracy problem for two years period. Software is the most favorite pirated object. Besides, medical, public health products, music or movie, automotive spare parts have been imitated also for illegal commercial use.
