A road accident killed 12 persons, including six children, in eastern Pakistan city of Lahore on Sunday, local TV channels reported.

The accident happened when the driver of a bus tried to save a rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. The bus plunged into channel, leaving 12 dead and 60 injured.

The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
