The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will firmly consolidate and develop relations with Laos, the official KCNA news agency quoted top legislator Kim Yong Nam as saying on Monday.

Kim, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, met with visiting Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanhin Pyongyang on Monday.

"The friendly relations between the DPRK and Laos are developing on good terms with each passing day," said Kim.
