The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday won majority in the voting for presidential election in the southwestern Pakistan province, according to an unofficial result.

Zardari, widower of slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, won the voting in the provincial assembly of Balochistan as counting in the national parliament and other assemblies are continuing, local TV reported.

Mr. Zardari secured 59 votes in the house of 65 members, while Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui, who was fielded by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), bagged two votes and Senator Mushahid Hussain, a candidate from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q),got two votes, according to the report.

Two members did not vote.

Zardari has won majority in North West Frontier Province by getting 107 votes out of 124.
