Two soldiers with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in insurgents attack on Saturday in eastern Afghanistan, an ISAF statement released said.
However, it did not disclose any further details adding "it is ISAF policy to not release the nationality of any casualty prior to the relevant national authority doing so".
International troops, mostly from U.S., have been deployed in eastern Afghanistan for keeping peace and helping with reconstruction there.
Taliban insurgents who staged a violent comeback three years ago have intensified their activities targeting Afghan and international troops across Afghanistan to mount pressure on the government despite around 70,000 foreign troops stationed in the war-torn country.
Conflicts and spiraling insurgency have claimed the lives of over 3,700 people so far this year.
