Pakistan's security Forces foiled a suicide attempt early Monday morning in northwest Pakistan, an army statement said.
Reportedly a suicide bomber, aged 17 to 18, who was about to make an attempt on a security forces convoy was spotted by two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) of School of Artillery in Nowshera in North West Frontier Province, said the statement.
Both the JCOs daringly got hold of the suicide bomber physically.
"Meanwhile, other security staff also reached the spot and immediately cordoned off the area to avoid Improvised Explosive Device threat, if any," said the statement.
The security forces have taken into custody the suicide bomber for detailed investigation, the statement said, adding "reportedly, he was wearing a suicide jacket packed with 10 to 15 Kg of explosives. The bomb disposal squad, on reaching the site, diffused the detonators." Source:Xinhua
