Japan's ASDF F-15 fighter jet crashes, pilot safe |

An F-15 fighter jet of Japan's Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF) crashed Thursday in the Sea of Japan off Yamaguchi Prefecture, local media reported, citing the ASDF and the Japan Coast Guard.
The accident occurred during a flight training Thursday afternoon and the pilot managed to eject safely from the jet.
Engine trouble is believed to be the cause of the crash, said the reports.
