Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen arrives in Islamabad on Tuesday evening to talk with the Pakistani leaders over row of recent cross-border raids.

The visit comes amid tensions between the two countries due to recent missiles strikes by U.S. drones, which claimed lives of scores of people.

Mullen is expected to meet with Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani during his two-day visit, News Network International (NNI) news agency said.

Mullen warned earlier this month that the U.S. forces will launch unilateral actions in the tribal regions against the al-Qaida linked militants.
