An explosion took place in southwestern Pakistan's Balochistan province on Friday and four people were killed, private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.

The blast occurred in a seminary in the Beleli area in Quetta, capital city of Balochistan province, said the report.

The DAWN NEWS quoted police sources as saying that four students were killed and seven others sustained injuries in the blast.

The injured have been shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the cause of the blast.
