Pakistan's security forces and local trial people fired on two United States helicopters and forced them to fly back to Afghanistan, website of local newspaper Daily Jang reported on Monday.

The incident happened late on Sunday. The two U.S. helicopters entered Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal area bordering Afghanistan, said the report.

Recently the cross-border attacks launched by U.S. drones in Pakistan's tribal area have left scores of people dead. Pakistani government has lodged a strong protest against it and vowed to protect its sovereignty and integrity.
