An earthquake of some six magnitude occurred in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, according to reports reaching here.
The quake epicenter was located on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border and there was a three-point tremor in Bishkek, Itar-Tass news agency cited the Kyrgyz Emergency Situations Ministry and the National Seismology Institute.
On the same day, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake was registered in northeastern Tajikistan at the border with Kyrgyzstan, Interfax cited Sergei Ulubiyev of the Dushanbe seismological station.
"Four-magnitude shocks were registered in Dushanbe," he said.
