Nepali Minister for Education Renu Yadav on Monday said that dialogue with the Terai outfits will be carried out immediately after the Dashain.
Speaking at a program organized here to exchange Dashain greetings, Yadav, who is a member of the negotiation team that the government recently formed, said that the government is bidding to resolve the crisis in the southern Nepal's Terai region through negotiations.
Yadav, who is also a leader of Terai-based Madheshi People's Rights Forum, pointed out that it is necessary to bring the armed groups to the negotiation table as it is the government's responsibility to make the people feel secure.
Earlier reports said a meeting of the 14 armed outfits being held in an undisclosed location in Indian state of Bihar decided to hold talks with Nepali government if the latter sends a formal invitation for it.
Although the armed outfits haven't come clearly on what they really want the government to do, they are expected to raise the demand for an "autonomous Madhesh state" including greater rights for Madhesis in their affairs.
The armed outfits declared a ceasefire during the 10-day Dashain festival, the biggest and longest festival in the country, assuring that they won't carry out any armed activities during the period.
