A moderate quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.6 jolted Japan's Kanto region, said the Japan Meteorological Agency Wednesday.

The epicenter of quake, which occurred at 3:07 p.m. local time (0607 GMT), was some 80 km underground in northwest Chiba Prefecture, the agency said.

Obvious shocks were felt in most buildings in Tokyo and its vicinity.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property. And no Tsunami warning was issued.
