Attack on the international postal service company DHL that left two foreign staff and the attacker dead in Afghan capital Kabul last Saturday was a preplanned terrorist design, Afghan interior ministry said in a press release on Monday.

"Preliminary investigation shows that Babrak Qadiri, a guard of DHL Company, after gunning down Justin of South Africa and Dif of Britain, shot himself dead," the statement said.

"Though police have yet to determine the motivation behind the incident, some evidences do not rule out Qadiri's link with anti-government militants, while some evidences and remarks of eye witnesses shows Qadiri's hatred from his employers," the statement stressed.

It also added that two more local employees of the company were injured in the incident.

Afghan capital Kabul has seen security deteriorating as Taliban militants shot dead a British aid worker and unknown armed men kidnapped a Canadian journalist by unknown armed men in the past two weeks.
