Nepali Prime Minister Prachanda said on Wednesday that the government is in a transitional phase and stressed on the need of unity and cooperation among all to move ahead.

Speaking at a program in the capital Kathmandu organized to celebrate the announcement of Nepal Sambat as Rastriya Sambat, Prachanda said that the present government is like a newly born child and urged all the people to bear their responsibility in grooming the child to a matured state.

He said that once the country is strong in its base, no force can break it down.

Stating the nature and history had given many positive things to the Nepali people, he said that the right use of those things will help in making a more prosperous, civilized and internationally renowned Nepal within a span of couple of decades.

Moreover, he said that the government established the victory achieved by the Nepalis in the "cultural revolution" by declaring Nepal Sambat the official national calendar.
