United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is to arrive in Nepal on Friday for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Nepali Prime Minister Prachanda, the National News Agency RSS reported on Wednesday.

According to the RSS, the U.N. chief will be received by Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav at Tribhuvan International Airport.

He has been scheduled to call on Prachanda on Friday and to participate in a banquet to be hosted by the prime minister in his honor.

As per the schedule, Ban will pay a courtesy call on President Ram Baran Yadav on Nov. 1.

He will also visit International Convention Center to call on Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subash Nembang and other parliamentarians on Friday.
