A series of three explosions occurred on Monday in eastern Indonesia's North Maluku province, damaging some administration and council buildings, the official news agency Antara reported.
The explosions were heard at about 02:30 a.m. local time (GMT 1730 on Sunday). There were no injuries reported yet, and the police have launched investigations.
According to a witness, the first explosion damaged a side part of the official residence of a local governor. The second one that occurred five minutes later blasted the ceiling of this governor's office, which is about 1 km from his house.
