At least seven people, including three policemen, were killed in a blast near a security check post in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, local television reported.

The explosion occurred when a suicide bomber targeted the security check post in Hangu district of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP), local Geo TV channel said.

Reports said the blast has left seven people dead and four others injured.

Pakistan's security forces have cordoned off the area and rescue operation is underway.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
