The "Kathmandu International Theater Festival-2008" began in Nepali capital Kathmandu Tuesday.

Aarohan Gurukul, a Nepali theater group in Kathmandu, is the main organizer of this play festival which will last to Nov. 27.

According to the organizer, beside Nepal, the festival will showcase theater groups from seven different countries such as Denmark, Norway, Britain, the United States, Thailand, Bangladesh and India.

The theater groups will perform plays from their respective countries mostly for the Nepali audience.

The festival starts with the Nepali play "Dreams of Peach Blossoms" written by Abhi Subedi and directed by Sunil Pokharel.
