Up to eight militants were killed and several others injured in a clash with security forces in northwestern Pakistan, official Associated Press of Pakistan reported Wednesday.
A shootout erupted when militants attacked the security forces in Kabal area of restive Swat district in North West Frontier Province, said the report.
As a result, eight militants were killed, and one security man also lost his life.
The security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
