Moderate earthquake hits eastern Indonesia |

A moderate quake with magnitude of5.2 rocked eastern part of Indonesia on Friday with no report of damage or casualty, meteorology agency said here.
The quake struck 11:55 Jakarta time (0455 GMT) with epicenter at 85 km southeast of Gorontalo in North Sulawesi and at 117 km in depth, an official of the agency said.
Indonesia sits at a vulnerable zone called "the Pacific Ring of Fire" where two continental plates stretching from the Western Hemisphere through Japan and Southeast Asia meet, causing frequent volcanic movements. Source:Xinhua
