A blast took place in Pakistan's garrison city of Rawalpindi on Friday and at least two persons were injured, the private Express TV channel reported.

A gas cylinder blast occurred in the Senior Suprintendent of Police (SSP) Operations office, the TV channel quoted police sources as saying.

The police cordoned off the office after the accident, the TV said.
