Polish President Lech Kaczynski will pay an official visit to South Korea on Dec. 5-7 for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, South Korea's Presidential Office said Sunday.
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Kaczynski will hold a talks on Dec. 5 on expanding practical economic exchanges and boosting bilateral cooperation on the global financial crisis and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, the Presidential Office said at a statement.
"Kaczynski's upcoming visit is expected to help upgrade bilateral relations, as the two countries are to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2009," the statement said.
Poland is South Korea's largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak in October offered to help South Korean companies participate in Poland's massive infrastructure expansion projects, according to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency.
