A suicide car bomb blast hit eastern part of Afghan capital Kabul Thursday morning, leaving one civilian killed and six more injured, an official from interior ministry said.
The official declining to be named for lack of authority to speak to media told Xinhua that the blast occurred around 8:30 a.m. at an area close to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) compound and some Afghan ministerial buildings.
The body of the attacker was still lying on the spot, the official said, adding that he was unclear who was the target and the investigation is going on.
Days ago there was a bomb blast in north Kabul, leaving at least two people killed and injured.
