Malaysian Prime Minister Abuddulah Ahmad Badawi Friday sent a condolence letter to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh, expressed his sympathies on the pain and losses suffered by the Indian people.
"I wish to express my shock and abhorrence on the acts of terrorism in Mumbai in the evening of 26 November 2008 which caused deaths and injuries to hundreds of innocent people and damage to many important buildings and public utilities," Badawi said in the letter available here.
"I share your revulsion against these heinous crimes. I am confident, however, that you and your Government would soon be able to restore normalcy to the situation in Mumbai and bring to justice the guilty parties," he said.
Badawi also said that terrorism under any form cannot be tolerated and must be condemned, stressing that Malaysia was ready to work closely with India to deal with the problem of terrorism, for the present and for the future.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Rais Yatim also has sent a condolence letter to Indian Foreign Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
