An explosion occurred Saturday night near the famous Klong Toey market in Bangkok, injuring 15 people, three of them severely.

Local newspaper Thairath reported on its website that the explosion happened at a stage where vendors were rallying there for a protest for land dispute.

The explosion was believed not related with the current political confrontation between the government and People's Alliance for Democracy movement.

The vendors were protesting against the Port Authority of Thailand and Legal Co. market for what they claimed to be unfair treatment against vendors at the Klong Toey market.

On Nov. 13, a similar explosion happened at the same site, also injuring 15 vendors.
