The United States Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen Wednesday arrived in Islamabad to discuss regional situation following the Mumbai attacks, according to official Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

The APP quoted American embassy spokesman as saying that he would meet Pakistani leadership and Chief of Army Staff, Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

The visit of Mike Mullen to Islamabad is very important due to the tension between Pakistan and India following the attacks in Mumbai, said the APP report.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, while meeting Mike Mullen, said Pakistan offered full cooperation to India after the Mumbai attacks, according to local TV channel reports.

The neighboring countries should sit together to solve the problem, Zardari said, adding that democracy would never go to war.
