Two motorcyclists in Western Australia were killed on the road on Sunday, taking the national holiday road toll to 36.

One of the men died when his motorcycle crashed into a tree about 2 am in the Perth suburb of Gooseberry Hill, while the other died about three hours later in Seville Grove, south of Perth, when his bike hit a pole, Australian Associated Press reported.

Victoria continues to top the road toll with 10 deaths, while New South Wales and Western Australia have had eight.

There have been six deaths in Queensland, three in the Northern Territory and one in South Australia.

No road fatalities have been recorded in Tasmania or the Australian Capital Territory.
