Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said on Sunday that Thai authorities have officially identified two victims as Singapore citizens, adding the death toll of Singaporeans to three.
The MFA extended its condolences to the families of the victims and said that it has been in contact with their relatives and will arrange for them to travel to Bangkok.
The MFA said the government brought back the body of Teo Sze Siong, the first Singaporean victim, on Saturday night. Among the three injured Singaporeans, two are still in hospital of Bangkok, the other one returned to the country on Friday night.
A fire broke out broke out on the New Year's Eve in the Santika Pub of Bangkok downtown, killing some 60 people, and leaving over 200 others injured. Source:Xinhua
