French Prime Minister Francois Fillon is scheduled to visit the French Pacific territory of New Caledonia on March 7-9, said a report posted on the website of Pacnews on Wednesday.

Fillon chaired a meeting of the committee on the implementation of the autonomy Noumea Accord in Paris last week.

It has also been speculated that French President Nicolas Sarkozy will visit New Caledonia sometime in August or September this year.
