A small passenger aircraft undershot the runway at an airport in central Philippines Sunday morning, forcing the temporary closedown of the airport, a gateway to the country's popular tourist island Boracay.
A ticket officer with the domestic airline company Zest Airways confirmed that one of its flights caught an accident at Caticlan airport and the airport is closed down.
But the company's spokesperson is not available for comment.
Earlier report of online news network GMA News said one passenger was injured in the undershoot accident of Flight-865 at around 7 a.m. local time (2300 GMT Saturday).
Flights to Boracay via Caticlan were directed to nearby Kalibo Airport.
