A ship passing the Majene waters saved the 23rd survivor of the ferry Teratai Prima, which sank early Sunday morning on its way from Pare-pare in South Sulawesi to Samarinda in East Kalimantan, the Jakarta Post reported on Monday.

The ferry, with 250 passengers and 17 crew members on aboard, sank in waters near Majene regency, West Sulawesi of Indonesia, on Sunday morning and caused over 200 missing. it slowed the speed with

The ship found the survivor, Rampa, floating alive in the sea off Majene on Monday and it slowed the speed after saving Rampa, but failed to find any other survivors.

The 700-ton ferry, with 250 passengers and 17 crew members on aboard, was struck by tropical cyclone Charlotte and sank in waters near Majene regency, West Sulawesi of Indonesia, on Sunday morning.

By now, 244 people remain missing.
