A group of voluntary teachers from Ireland and England are teaching "London" English to teachers and students in a unique way in schools of marginalized communities in the remote, hilly north Indian state of Uttarakhand, said local daily The Tribune on Monday.

The voluntary mission, called "Teaching English", was started by Rutger Kortenhorst, vice-principal of John Scottus School in Dublin, Ireland, in 20 rural schools run by a local Indian non-government organization called Rural Litigation Empowerment Kendrain Uttarakhand, said the daily.
