Former Nepali King Gyanendra Shah returned to Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon after a month-long "private visit" to India.
A number of supporters and relatives of the former king were present at the Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital to welcome him. Police officials had difficulty providing security to Shah because of the crowd. Police personnel restricted his supporters from handing over flower bouquets, which led to minor scuffle.
There was huge media presence at the airport, but Shah refused to make any comment on his visit.
Journalists also complained of misbehavior from police officials when they tried to take his pictures.
