The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said on Saturday it "opposed and denounced" United Nations' new resolution, vowing to produce more nuclear weapons.

In response to the U.N. Resolution 1874, the DPRK will " weaponize all plutonium newly extracted," said a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

The DPRK will also start enriching uranium, it added.

The statement warned that "if U.S. and its fowlers attempted to blockade the DPRK," the DPRK will oppose it with "resolute military actions."
