The fiscal deficit of the Philippine national government in May hit 11.4 billion pesos (about 235 million U.S. dollars), up 262 percent from last year's as dwindling revenues can't cope with higher expenditures, Philippine Finance Secretary Margarito Teves said Tuesday.
