Taliban network has been fully destroyed in Malakand division in northwestern Pakistan, said local official on Tuesday.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Information Minister of North West Frontier Province (NWFP), said that Buner, Dir and Swat in Malakand division have been cleared of Taliban militants and government forces have complete control over them, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.

The security forces have almost ended second and third rank leadership of militants while head money of Taliban's top leadership has been announced, Hussain said referring to the ongoing operation against militants.

Hussain said the government will make all possible arrangements for Internally Displaced Persons' rehabilitation in their areas after return of normalcy.

Security forces initiated a major offensive against militants in NWFP late April. The ongoing operation has entered its final phase and over 1,600 militants have been killed. The security forces are currently engaged in an operation in Waziristan tribal areas.
