Former Prime Minister and Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (UCPN-M) Chairman Prachanda has claimed that his party would form a national government within next one-and-half month, The Rising Nepal reported on Thursday.
According to the daily, Prachanda said this while talking to media people in Chitwan in central Nepal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, addressing a meeting in his village Shivanagar, he said, "The love you have shown to me has inspired me to fight against reactionaries. This will give me energy to form a national government."
He also claimed that the present government would not last more than a couple of weeks.
Prachanda said that the country would not get a new constitution without the active participation of UCPN-M in the national politics.
Prachanda also disclosed that thousands of cadres from different parties are going to join the UCPN-M on July 4.
