Three suspected terrorists were arrested Sunday in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, according to local TV reports.

Police sources were quoted as saying that they were arrested in the western part of the capital with explosives and arms being recovered.

Police said that they belonged to Pakistan's tribal area of Waziristan and the Buner district in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) and planned attacks in Islamabad and its nearby city of Rawalpindi.

On July 2, a motorcyclist rammed his motorcycle into a bus with20 people on board in Rawalpindi, killing at least five people and injuring several others.
