South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will hold separate talks with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and Peruvian President Alan Garcia, who plan to visit Seoul next week, the presidential office said Monday.

According to the presidential office, Bachelet and Garcia will arrive in Seoul on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, respectively, and leave on Nov. 12 to hold summits with the South Korean president and to participate in a local forum.

Lee and Bachelet will hold a summit on Nov. 11, a day after Bachelet arrives, to make evaluations on the progress of the South Korea-Chile free trade agreement (FTA) which came into effect in 2004.

The two leaders will also share views on economic cooperation in energy, resources and cultural and human exchange, the presidential office said.

Garcia, on the other hand, will meet with Lee on Nov. 12 to devise ways to speed up their bilateral FTA negotiations.

South Korea and Peru launched FTA negotiations last year and have held four rounds of talks so far.
