Fire erupts at chemical factory in Pakistan's Karachi

A fire broke out in a chemical factory located in Landhi Export Processing Zone in south Pakistan' s Karachi, local TV channels reported Friday.
According to the reports, eight to ten fire tenders are trying to douse the fire as the rescue effort is underway.
An official of Fire Brigade said that this is a category 3 fire which has engulfed the chemical factory, known as Japan Manufacturers.
He said the fire was getting out of control and therefore the department has dispatched all the fire tenders of the city including two snorkels and four bouzers to the site.
The official said his department has also asked other departments for their fire engines.
So far there is no report of any injury, he added.
