Indonesian president leaves for APEC economic leaders' meeting

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono departed for Malalysia Wednesday on his way to Singapore to attend the informal leadership meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
The Antara news agency reported that Yudhoyono is scheduled to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, the Malaysian King,Yang Dipertuan Agong XIII and attend a gala dinner hosted by Najibon Wednesday, presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal said at the airport.
Djalal also said Yndhoyono will meet with U.S. President Barrack Obama on Nov.15. "The meeting was requested by President Obama himself," said Djalal, adding that they would discuss bilateral relationship that has been improving.
Concerning the upcoming APEC leaders' meeting, Djalal said President Yudhoyono would convey his concept of "balanced growth" before the world leaders attending the meetings.
"At the APEC summit, the president will present his point of view on 'balanced growth' and also review the targets of the Bogor Declaration, a document adopted at the 1996 APEC meeting in Bogor, Indonesia," Dino said.
