Nepali Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has canceled his trip to Rome, capital of Italy, due to his illness, the local news website Nepal news reported on Wednesday quoting M.K. Nepal's press advisor.
M.K. Nepal has been suffering from flu over the past few days. He has been resting at his official residence in Kathmandu and limited his public contacts to meeting with family members and close aides only.
M.K. Nepal was scheduled to leave for Rome, Italy on Nov. 14 to participate in a global conference on food security leading a Nepali delegation.
However, Agriculture minister Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav will now lead the Nepali delegation, according to Nepal news.
United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has organized the global conference at a time when food production is decreasing due to climate change, global warming and irregular weather patterns.
