Kim Jong Il, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), has inspected a farm, the official KCNA news agency reported Thursday.
Kim reportedly said the drive for rural construction was "a noble and glorious one to turn the nation's countryside into a rich and cultured Socialist countryside based on modern technology."
Kim called on the whole country and all the people to "continue concentrating all efforts on farming to bring about a radical turn in the agricultural production as the agricultural front was the most important and major front for settling the people's problems of clothing, food and housing."
The KCNA report says Kim visited the Oguk Co-op Farm in Anak County. But it didn't mention the exact date of the trip.
