Afghan police bust gang of kidnappers in Kabul

Police in the Afghan capital city Kabul detained a gang of kidnappers, a press release of Interior Ministry said Saturday.

"Police busted three men involved in kidnapping from 1st precinct of Kabul city on Friday," the press release said.

It did not say if anyone has been released from their custody.

Kidnapping for ransom as a social evil has been threatening the lives of people particularly businessmen and affluent citizens in the militancy-plagued Afghanistan. police in the past arrested several such gangs from different cities and set free hostages from their custody.
