Two soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) including a service member of the United States were killed in Afghanistan's southern and eastern restive regions on Tuesday, a press release of the alliance issued here said.
"An ISAF service member from the United States died following an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) strike in southern Afghanistan today,"the press release said.
The second soldier was killed in a gun battle in eastern region.
"Another ISAF service member died in an insurgent engagement in eastern Afghanistan today,"the press release said, but did not disclose the nationality of the victim and exact palace of the incident.
Over 50 NATO soldiers with majority of them from the United States have been killed since the beginning of this year in country.
