A quake measuring 5.0 on Richter scale hit eastern Indonesia of South Sulawesi province on Wednesday at 15:46 Jakarta time (08:33 GMT), the country's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said in a statement.
The epicenter was at 168 kilometers of northeastern Palopo City of the province and 174 kilometers of southeastern Poso regency of Central Sulawesi province and at depth of 10 kilometers under seabed.
The agency did not issue a tsunami warning.
