The peace talks between the Philippines government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will take place again in Kuala Lumpur this month.
Rafael Seguis, chief negotiator representing the Philippines government, made this remarks here on Thursday when he was asked about the progress of the on-and-off talks between the government and the MILF.
The Philippine government and the rebel MILF have been holding talks over the past 12 years to end their four-decade conflicts in the southern Phillippines. Both parties resumed their talks in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday after the last one held in January, also in Malaysia.
Seguis said that both sides were happy about Thursday's meeting, adding that the MILF representatives answered and clarified some questions the Philippine government raised.
He also said that the MILF had also given their feedback to the Philippine government, which he would consult the respective parties after returning to the Philippines.
When asked if there were any new proposals raised in the meeting, Seguis said there were some extra views voiced. However, he refused to reveal what was going to happen next.
