Victoria will contribute 250,000 Australian dollars (227,400 U.S. dollars) towards the international aid effort to support disaster-stricken Chile, Premier John Brumby revealed on Tuesday.
An 8.8-magnitude earthquake hit Chile, then unleashed a tsunami, on February 27.
At least two million people have been affected, with at least 802 people killed and 500,000 homes destroyed.
Brumby told state parliament the government would join the international community in supporting Chileans' rebuilding efforts.
He said the donation would go to the Caritas Australia Chile Earthquake Appeal, which will fund relief and recovery efforts.
