6 injured in explosion in eastern Nepal

At least six persons were injured when an Improvised Explosive Devise exploded in front of a health post in Belgachiya, Sunsari district in eastern Nepal on Tuesday.

According to nepalnews.com report, all the injured are believed to be minors. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Koshi Zonal Hospital and are said to be out of danger.

The report quoted police as saying that they have begun an investigation to find the culprits behind the explosion.

Janatantrik Mukti Tigers, a little known Terai armed group involved in abduction, extortion and murder in the district, some 220 km east of Kathmandu, has owned up the responsibility for the attack.
